About

Dalgarven Mill has four mains attractions for visitors. The Grain Mill which was constructed in 1869 has one of the few working water wheels in Scotland. The Country Life Collection is three floors of the building that houses artefacts detailing the past lives of the rural community.

Our costume collection is one of the finest in Scotland, with over 2000 pieces dating from 1775 to present day. The Riverside Walk along the River Garnock allows visitors to see how the water was channelled from the weir to power the water wheel.

Special arrangements can be made for groups. Closed over Christmas and New Year.

The Miller’s Kitchen Coffee Room and the Ground Floor of the Museum are fully accessible, access tot he upper floors is provided by video.
