Our latest exhibition is now underway and it focuses on telling the story of the Polish armed forces during the Second World War!
The exhibition tells the story of the Polish 1st Armoured Division and the contributions they made to the Allied war effort. Collected and curated by Sean Szmalc of Titanic Honour and Glory Exhibitions, his fascination with the Second World War began when he was a young boy learning of his grandfather who served in the Polish armoured division during the war.
Featuring a wide variety of artefacts on display, including items from our own collection, the exhibition also has some wonderful video interviews with people from North Ayrshire who have some fascinating stories to tell of North Ayrshire in the Second World War.

The exhibition is on display at our Heritage Centre in Saltcoats and runs until the end of July (and also has a display at the Museum of the Cumbraes). We are open Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday: 09:30am – 1pm & 2pm – 4:30pm and the last Saturday of every month (same opening times).
